Sunday lunch is the perfect time to relax and socialise, enjoying time with friends and family. That’s the theory. The reality of juggling with a large joint of meat, topping and tailing the beans and de-lumping the gravy can be anything but relaxing. That’s where Barley Bree comes in. The restaurant is open from 12 noon until 7.30pm (5.30pm in winter) so there is plenty of time for everyone to congregate and enjoy some delicious food and wine. Children are welcome – and have their own menu – so that several generations can eat together, without worrying about the roast potatoes or the washing up.
