Fabrice is a new entry at number 64 in the Courier’s Impact 100.

Impact 100 seeks to identify and list the most influential people in Courier Country every year.


His year: Classically-trained French-born chef/patron Fabrice Bouteloup and his Scottish wife Alison, a wine expert, opened restaurant-with-rooms Barley Bree in Muthill, near Crieff in 2007. This year, they took the Rural Restaurant of the Year and Scottish Restaurant of the Year titles at the annual Scottish Restaurant Awards. It was also named one of The Guardian’s 10 best destination restaurants in Britain. Fabrice is also celebrating 20 years of working in the UK, mainly in Scotland. His motto is: Every customer is a VIP.
