Perthshire is full of botanical treasures, with many fine gardens open to the public. Autumn also brings an influx of “leaf peepers”, visitors who come specifically to see the trees changing colour.

Drummond Castle Gardens, on the road from Muthill to Crieff, is a must-visit: a grand formal garden with impressive views. The castle is not open to the public, the gardens are opening times are as follows:-

Easter Weekend and then 1st May to 31st October – daily 1pm – 6pm
June, July & August 11am – 6pm

September & October 1pm – 6pm

Last admission 5pm. Exit gates close at 6pm.
